Introduction:

The dire need for having a hospital on Raiwind Road was being felt for a long time. Neither the Government nor any NGO thought of providing the basic health facilities in the newly emerging suburbs and surrounding 34 villages besides 93 industrial Units situated around the Raiwind Raod. It fell into the luck of Muhammad Shafi Malik (late) to make a modern Hospital for the poor inhabitants of rural areas & factory workers. Our three stories 100 bedded Mumtaz Bakhtawar ( Trust ) Hospital at 8th KM on Raiwind Road, Lahore has started functioning in a full-fledged manner. It was inaugurated by Mir Zafar Ullah Khan Jamali, Prime Minister of Pakistan on 26th May, 2003. His remarks in our visitor's book are reproduced below: "It's a pleasure to be here today. My appreciation for the whole family for this noble cause. I hope we have more "Pakistanis" like this. My prayers."
